Initially focused on emergency medicine, mental health services, and virtual GP consultations, CMS has now expanded to offer online geriatrician services. Our services are tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient, with flexible, physician-friendly working arrangements.
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Geriatrician to join our telehealth team as an independent contractor. This role involves providing essential healthcare services to elderly patients via telehealth. You will collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care and improve the quality of life for our aging population.
This is a new program that we are thrilled to deliver to the community and our healthcare partners. As we introduce this service, we are excited to offer flexible working arrangements. Ideally, we would start with a commitment of a couple of hours per week, with the vision of expanding to additional hours as the service grows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive geriatric assessments via telehealth, including initial consultations and follow-up appointments.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of elderly patients.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and manage complex conditions.
- Provide patient education and support to families and caregivers.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree with specialisation in Geriatrics.
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Experience in telehealth is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Working Hours:
